The Confederate Tank served as the primary infantry support vehicle for the Separatists during their major interstellar conflict against the Republic. Compact yet robust, this 9.19-meter long tank featured a heavy, spade-shaped lower hull topped with a lighter secondary hull and rotating turret. The vehicle, operated by a crew of four, could additionally carry six soldiers on its hull and up to ten metric tons of cargo.

Despite its heavy armor making it neither quick nor agile on the battlefield, with a maximum speed of 55 kilometers per hour, the Confederate Tank proved extremely versatile. Its arsenal included a top-mounted heavy laser cannon, two side medium laser cannons, a pair of coaxial heavy blasters, and a six-barreled multi-ordnance projectile launcher in the lower hull.

While formidable in theory, the tank had its weaknesses. Its battlebot crew lacked the initiative and improvisation skills that sentient beings might have, and their computer and electrical systems were vulnerable to electromagnetic pulse grenades. A well-aimed sniper shot at the main cannon's barrel could also potentially disable the entire tank.

Following the fall of the confederacy, many of these tanks ended up on the black market, arming criminal syndicates. Resourceful scoundrels, seizing this opportunity, outfitted these tanks with unique modifications to suit their individual needs.
