The Imperial Experimental Troopers were an exclusive unit of elite Storm Core Troopers, imbued with dark powers and deployed by the Dark Empire in Operation Black Hand. Considered the finest soldiers in the legions, they underwent rigorous and specialized training, making them significantly more lethal than the average Storm Core Trooper. Due to the high demands placed on candidates during their training and the cost of their equipment, the troopers were not widely deployed, which came as a relief to the Alliance.
